1) How and when did you know you wanted to become a model?
I knew when I was five years old, I loved to look at fashion magazines. At that age I used to steal my mom’s make up to look like a model and do different poses in front of a big mirror that we had in our living room.
2) Where were you discovered?
I was discovered in Florence, Italy, six years ago. The man who later became my agent stopped me in the middle of the street. He actually had to park his car and run to catch me. It was a sunny and hot day of June and surprisingly he was wearing a raincoat and he was all sweaty because of the running and the warm day in the middle of the summer. I have to say I wasn’t positively impressed by him because of his appearance but his personality made me forget about his sweaty and red face. I am happy I have met him now because he guided me in so many ways in my career and in my life.
3) What do you like most about being a model?
What I like the most is seeing myself portrayed in so many different ways. Every time I have a photo shoot it’s a different experience. I am surrounded by creative people, each of them have their own vision about photography, styling, make up, energy and art. I have to melt with their philosophy to create something special together.

4) What has been the greatest experience you have had so far?
The greatest experience I had so far is the calendar I did with Jorge Lorenzo, the moto gp world champion. He’s a very fun and respectful young man. The calendar has been distributed in Europe with 1 million copies. Very exciting experience!
5) What is your fashion dream?
My fashion dream is to have a cover on Vogue. My agent Ari always tells me, You can do it! And my answer is: Do it!
6) What was your favourite city you traveled to work to?
My favourite city I have been for work is Paris. I was represented by Ford Models there and I was going back and forth from my hometown in Italy to Paris. It happened that sometimes I had to drive there with my tiny Smart car. It is a long way to get there! I used to listen to Mika incessantly in the car and now when I hear a song of him I always think about Paris and how romantic, glamorous and fascinating it is.
7) Who is your fashion icon?
I always had admiration for Adriana Lima. She’s my favourite. I adore Monica Bellucci too, she started as a model in Italy. My dream is to meet both of them at a party.
8) What are your goals in the next 5 years as a model?
I’d like to be on magazines covers and start my career as an actress. That’s the reason why I moved from Europe to Los Angeles. You have to think big, right?
9) What are your secrets for a fit and healthy body?
I love hiking, I try not to eat too much pasta even if as an Italian I must confess it’s the only thing I can cook. I drink lot of green tea without caffeine and I take my friend’s dog out for long walks. I like yoga too, I do it in front of the TV... I have my personal instructor on DVD. Those are my secrets.

10) What is your favourite part of your body?
My eyes.
11) What makes you feel sexy?
A new haircut.
12) Is the fashion world what you expected it to be?
It’s much better than I expected it to be! I love being in this field. I was scared to meet the wrong people when I started. It didn’t happen, and now I can say it has been  great.

13) What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I paint every second I have free time. I have a website about my art, www.anonymousdonna.com. I love colours and being imaginative.
14) What would you ask yourself that we haven’t asked you in this interview?
Tell me about something funny but that made you think. I have to tell you this story: After a 17 hours flight to go back to Los Angeles, finally I get there. I have to go through customs like everybody does. The custom officer asks me the usual questions and then looks at my passport and says: "You have 5 years left." I was shocked. "For what, Sir?" "To get married", he said. Well, after 3 months that still makes me think but laugh at the same time, that was unusual!
