How and when did you know you wanted to become a model?
It wasn't something I always knew I wanted to do. I had plans of going to law school but I was discovered and given an opportunity to try it out, and ended up loving it.

Where were you discovered?
I was discovered at a mall in Calgary.

What do you like most about being a model?
I like that I get to travel and that every day I work with different and interesting people. I like seeing all the different aspects of what goes into creating an image for a product so that society will buy it.

What has been the greatest experience you have had so far?
I would have to say the greatest experience is just being able to travel and being able to live and work in NY.

What is your fashion dream?
My fashion dream would be to continue working and climbing higher in the industry; to make it last as long as I can since I really do love my job.

What was your favourite city you traveled to work to?
I went to Morocco a few years ago for a shoot and that is one that I will never forget. It is such an interesting country that I would love to go back and explore more.

Who is your fashion icon?
I like lot of people's style but I do love Kate Moss.  She has had such a great career and is so effortlessly cool.

What is your favourite music band?
I don’t have a favourite band because I am horrible with music, I usually just give a friend my iPod and let them put whatever they want on it, and I will listen to it. I am pretty easy to please, and like just about everything.

What are your goals in the next 5 years as a model?
To continue to work, to travel more, to do jobs that make me happy and continue to love my job!

What are your secrets for a fit and healthy body?
I definitely do work out and try to eat healthy. I am not someone who can sit around and never work out and eat everything in sight and still be skinny. I go to Bari Studio almost everyday where they keep me lean, and once or twice a week I go to Barry’s boot camp for some hardcore abs and arms action. I love both and like to mix it up so my body doesn't get used to the workout. I try to eat as many veggies as I can and limit sugar although I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth (did anyone say cheesecake??)

What is your favourite part of your body?
I like my legs and my eyelashes :)

What makes you feel sexy?
Depends on the day, sometimes it’s a little black dress and a great pair of heels, and other times it’s just jeans and a cute t-shirt or tank top and some boots. I think you can feel sexy wearing whatever you want, it’s all in your mind.

What is your favourite piece of clothing?
Stella McCartney little black dress. I always feel good when I wear this.

Is the fashion world what you expected it to be?
The fashion world is sort of what I expected. There are parts of it that continue to surprise me, but for the most part it’s what I expected.  Like any industry there is good and bad, but more often than not, the good outweighs the bad.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
When I am not working I am usually taking my dog Rambo to the dog park, hanging out with my boyfriend, meeting with friends, or just enjoying the city. When it’s nice out I love riding my bike around the city.

What are your favourite things?
My family, my boyfriend, my dog Rambo, my friends, and traveling (if my boyfriend, friends or family can come with me, it’s even better!)

What would you ask yourself that we haven’t asked you in this interview?
What would you say to girls who want to become models? I would say go for it. It is not for everyone, but it allows you to see the world, learn about people and cultures, and gives you opportunities you may not get from any other industry.
